Mother’s day was yesterday, so Keri and I spent some time with her family. As I have mentioned before, Keri’s mom Judy grew up in a polish neighborhood and that had a strong influence on her cooking and eating. That being said, one of my favorite things to eat at Judy’s house is pierogies! Judy usually buys them from a polish market in North Jersey and they are always fresh and delicious. Grilled Cauliflower Steaks
As you know, Keri has gone full on vegetarian, which has forced me to get significantly more creative with my meal planning. While she would be happy eating the same thing everyday, I am not and therefore, I have been experimenting with all sorts of vegan and vegetarian meal ideas. One thing that I have learned is extremely versatile is cauliflower. Here is a very quick and easy recipe for “cauliflower steaks”Keri has been all over me to make her cauliflower pizza crust…maybe next week.

Oven Baked BBQ Ribs
One of my favorite things to make is ribs! I really consider a big meal of “Southern Style BBQ” comfort food, even though it wasn’t something that I ate too much of growing up. My father always loved BBQ Brisket, but it was never the sort of thing we ate at home and there really weren’t any BBQ restaurants near where I grew up in Western Massachusetts (at least none that I knew about).
